In class, students worked in groups on a comparison of Versailles and the White House. Compare/contrast based on size, function, floorplan, and rooms/goods you can see inside while on a tour.

In class, students were introduced to the concepts of absolute monarchy and divine right. The focus was on Spain's Golden Age.

Welcome back from Spring Break!

Monday: In class, students presented their posters on the Columbian Exchange and took notes on the Commercial Revolution in Europe. On Wednesday, students will take a quiz on Chapter 16 covering sections 1-3 & 5. HW: Answer, in complete sentences, #12-14, 16, 26, 28, 29 on pgs 408-409.

In class, students created trifold travel brochures advertising 4 reasons to travel to the New World (absent students not responsible). HW: Complete brochure if not finished; reag pgs 389-393. Complete Taking Notes concept web on pg 389. Magazine missing for Makenzie, Ike, Livia, Kris, & Gavin... must be submitted in finished form ASAP!
